DAY 1 - SATURDAY - NEW YORK CITY OR ATLANTA/CAPE TOWN

Using our excellent add-on fares, you  board a flight from your hometown today bound for either New York Kennedy or  Atlanta. Here you board your Africa bound flight and enjoy the superior  in-flight service of South African Airways to Cape Town.

DAY 2 - SUNDAY - CAPE TOWN

Upon arrival into Cape Town today,  you are transferred to your waterfront hotel where accommodation will have been  arranged for 3 nights in rooms with private en-suite facilities. The remainder  of your day is at leisure.

DAY 3- MONDAY - CAPE TOWN/THE CAPE PENINSULA                                                                                             Top

Today’s classic tour travels at a pace that allows you to  explore the beauty of the Cape Peninsula. You depart from Cape Town for the Cape  of Good Hope Nature Reserve via one of South Africa's most scenic and popular  routes, passing by Hout Bay. Cape Point where (by tradition) to marine  eco-systems, the Indian and the Atlantic oceans meet, is a highlight. Time is  made for a relaxing lunch (for your own account), and you'll be presented with a  certificate to commemorate your visit. During the course of the day, you will  drive through the historic naval base of Simonstown, and allow time for a stroll  through Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. The tour ends at approximately  5:00pm.

There is an optional 1/2 hour boat trip from Hout Bay to view  seals and sea birds at Duiker Island (weather permitting). [B]

DAY 4 - TUESDAY - CAPE TOWN AT LEISURE

Whether you’re a  discerning businessman, pleasure-loving bohemian, thrill seeking adventurer,  sports fanatic or inquisitive historian, Cape Town offers you a rich variety of  activities to the excite the senses. Enjoy classical music with the Philharmonic  Orchestra and sunset concerts at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Buskers  entertain you as you explore the city malls, and down at the V&A Waterfront,  there’s live music at the open-air amphitheater. Experience wine tasting at  numerous wine estates and the thrills of Ratanga Junction Theme Park. Then  there’s the grandeur of Table Mountain and the awe-inspiring views from Cape  Point. For business or pleasure, Cape Town has it all. [B]

DAY 5 - WEDNESDAY - CAPE  TOWN/OUDTSHOORN

Today, you’ll travel the scenic route  from Cape Town via Montagu to Oudtshoorn, famous for it’s ostrich farms  where  you can hitch an ostrich ride if you choose. Dinner and overnight in Oudtshoorn.  [B/D]

DAY 6- THURSDAY - OUDTSHOORN/ WILDERNESS                                                                                                     Top

You’ll get to  explore the nearby Cango Caves, one of the worlds great natural wonders  sculptured by nature through the ages. Situated close to the town of Oudtshoorn,  the caves are mysterious and breathtaking limestone formations, in a wide  variety of natural colors - a subterranean wonderland. The caves are some of the  largest explored limestone caverns open to the public. A guided tour of the  Ostrich Show Farm and lunch are included, with optional ostrich delicacies.  Travel from Oudtshoorn to Wilderness via the Outeniqua Pass. Dinner and  overnight in Wilderness, a premier holiday resort, which is renowned for its  vast stretches of beach, its peace and tranquillity, and the absence of  windswept headlands and wild, stormy seas. DAY 7 - FRIDAY - WILDERNESS/KNYSNA

Travel on today from Sedgefield  through the scenic Outeniqua Pass, aboard the Outeniqua Choo Tjoe steam train  for a 2 ½ hour trip over bridges, through tunnels and past vlei’s bright with  bird life, where you reach Knysna. Visit Featherbed Nature Reserve in Knysna,  which is set around a peaceful lagoon and offers excellent restaurants and  antique shops in the heart of the Garden Route. Knysna is surrounded by  indigenous forest, the Outeniqua Mountains and the rugged cape coastline. The  town has many tourist attractions, and several historical places of interest.  The Knysna Lagoon with its two limestone cliffs, the Heads, is another must see  along this route. Overnight in Knysna. [B/L]

DAY 8 - SATURDAY - KNYSNA/PORT  ELIZABETH

Travel  via Tsitsikamma Forest and hike through the lush National Park. You’ll walk  through evergreen forests filled with animals and birds and see tide pools  brimming with sea life. The Outeniqua - Tsitsikamma indigenous forests are a  unique mixture of Cape Fynbos and temperate forest and offer the nature lover  world-renowned hiking trails and an exciting opportunity to see the last  remaining forest elephants of South Africa. The entire area teems with birdlife,  nearly 300 species are to be found in the great variety of habitats, ranging  from fynbos to forest to wetlands. Then, it is on to Port Elizabeth, known as  the "Friendly City." This coastal city is sunny, laid back and perfect for  vacationing. You’ll enjoy the beach front amusements, natural history museum and  Victorian houses of Port Elizabeth. Here you will enjoy your overnight stay.  [B/L/D]

DAY 9 - SUNDAY - PORT ELIZABETH/DURBAN                                                                                                            Top

After Breakfast, you  will fly the short distance to Durban. The city of Durban is situated along the  shores of the bay and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. It is the largest  harbor in Southern Africa and is the true tourist mecca for holiday makers with  every conceivable form of entertainment available. When you arrive, you’ll enjoy  a city orientation tour before checking into your hotel. The rest of the day is  at your leisure, during which time you could take a ride on a Rickshaw along the  beach front, or enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants.  [B]

DAY 10 - MONDAY - DURBAN

A full day at leisure  in Durban. You can explore the city of Durban or enjoy an optional day tour of  the area (optional and for own account). [B]

DAY 11 - TUESDAY - DURBAN/HLUHLUWE

After breakfast, travel to rural Dumazulu, and experience the everyday  life of the Zulu tribe, renowned for its warrior culture. Witness traditional  customs such as tribal dancing and spear making. A special Zulu lunch will be  served for you. Then it’s on to a Game drive, in open safari vehicles to explore  the magnificent animals and species in Hluhluwe Game Reserve. Overnight in  Hluhluwe. DAY 12 - WEDNESDAY - HLUHLUWE/SWAZILAND                                                                                                      Top

You’ll travel to the tiny Kingdom of  Swaziland today, where on arrival you’ll visit craft markets in Mbabane to see  basket weavers at work, as well as a Swazi candle factory. Shop for unique  African souvenirs in this easy going, laid-back town. Overnight in Swaziland.  [B/D]

DAY 13 - THURSDAY - SWAZILAND/KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

This morning, you’ll visit the  Ngwenya glass factory, then travel to the world famous Kruger National Park  passing through the beautiful countryside of the province of Mpumalanga. Your  afternoon is at leisure during which time, you can enjoy a game drive (optional  and for own account). Overnight in Lodge. [B/D]

DAY 14 - FRIDAY - KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

An early morning game drive and bush  breakfast is scheduled. Have your camera ready, as you will be in search for the  parks many residents, including the "Big Five": Lion, Elephant, Buffalo Rhino  and the elusive Leopard. You may also see Hippopotami, Crocodiles, Zebras and  Giraffes a wider variety of buck as well as the prolific bird life. Afternoon at  leisure at the lodge. [B/D]

DAY 15 - SATURDAY - BLYDE RIVER CANYON AND  HAZYVIEW                                                                              Top

Depart for Panorama Scenic Route,  including Blyde River Canyon which is one of South Africa’s greatest natural  wonders, and is the third largest canyon in the world. In places it was carved  out 700m deep by the progress of the Blyde River. One of its most famous sights  is the Three Rondavels, mountains which look like traditional African huts.  Overnight in Hazyview area. [B/D]

DAY 16 - SUNDAY - HAZYVIEW/  JOHANNESBURG

Travel to Johannesburg, the City of  Gold, with six million inhabitants, is the largest city south of the Sahara.  Economic strength, energy, a beautiful climate and a commercial edge makes  Johannesburg a fascinating final destination on your journey, the city is  buzzing with excitement and things to do. You’ll enjoy superb hotels,  restaurants, culture and nightlife. Upon arrival into Johannesburg, you are  transferred to your hotel where accommodation has been arranged for 1 night in  rooms with private en-suite facilities. [B]

DAY 17 - MONDAY  SOWETO/DEPARTURE FROM SOUTH AFRICA

SOWETO, the South Western Township, a sprawling metropolis of  more than 3.5 million people and a city synonymous with South Africa's turbulent  past and its hopes for the future. Soweto is a multi-cultural composite of South  Africa today. Peek into the past - hostels, Freedom Square, the struggle for  liberty. Tread the paths to greatness taken by Nelson Mandela and Walter Sisulu.  Stand on the only road in the world that carries the honor of the two recipients  of the Nobel Peace Prize. Your tour includes a full view of Soweto from the  Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, visits to African merchants of traditional  medicines, a typical four-roomed dwelling, an informal settlement, a pre-school,  a senior citizen center, affluent neighborhoods and a typical Shebeen.

You are at leisure for the remainder of the afternoon before  being transferred to Johannesburg International Airport for your return flight  to the United States. [B]

DAY 18 - TUESDAY - ARRIVAL INTO THE UNITED STATES                                                                Top

This morning, you arrive into your  selected gateway city of either New York City or Atlanta where sufficient time  is allowed to connect to your home town flight.

You are transferred to Johannesburg  International Airport today for a short flight to north western Zimbabwe and the  phenomenon that is the Victoria Falls. Upon arrival at the Victoria Falls  Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel where accommodation will  have been arranged for 2 nights in rooms with private en-suite facilities on a  dinner, bed and breakfast basis. You enjoy a day at leisure before departing on  a late afternoon Zambezi River cruise. Dinner and overnight at The Kingdom at  Victoria Falls or similar. [B/D]

DAY 19 - WEDNESDAY - THE  VICTORIA FALLS

After breakfast you”ll leave on today’s sightseeing tours which  will include the Falls themselves, the African Craft Village and the Crocodile  Farm. This evening you’ll be treated to a display of traditional African  dancing. Dinner and overnight at The Kingdom at Victoria Falls or similar.  [B/D]

DAY 20 - THURSDAY -  DEPARTURE FOR THE UNITED STATES                                                                                Top

At leisure this morning until your  transfer to the airport for your onward flight to Johannesburg with continuation  service to your US gateway city. [B]

DAY 21 - FRIDAY - ARRIVAL  INTO THE UNITED STATES

This morning, you arrive into your selected gateway city of  either New York City or Atlanta where sufficient time is allowed to connect to  your home town flight.
